Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort is located on Princes Road, Colo-i-Suva (pronounced Tholo ee Suva), opposite the Police Post and next to the Colo-i-Suva Forest Park and Forestry Department.
Princes Road is the scenic alternative route between Nausori Airport and Suva.
If you are coming from Nadi, either fly to Nausori Airport (approx. 30-minute flight) or travel by bus (approx.5 hrs). From Nausori Airport take a taxi ride to the resort which will take approx. 25 minutes and cost under FJD30.
Travelling from Suva City, take the local ‘Saweni’ bus (Taciru Bus Co.) from the bus station next to Suva market (runs hourly between 6.00am – 7.00pm) and tell the driver you are coming to Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort (formerly Raintree Lodge).
A taxi from Suva City will take approx. 15-20 minutes and cost around FJD20.
The resort consists of seven self-contained bures (including two family bures), three studio apartments with ensuite, and twelve budget rooms with shared facilities.
There is a swimming pool with a bar, a fine dining restaurant and a bar overlooking the lake. We also have a small conference room holding a maximum of twenty-five guests and a gazebo situated at the end of the restaurant.
Apart from accommodation for local and international tourists (in particular bird watchers from all over the world), marketing is aimed at the residents of Suva and the surrounding area, as a retreat from town for dining and relaxing. The resort has established a reputation for being a peaceful environment, we do not allow large functions or loud music, in our endeavour to maintain the tranquillity of our surroundings.
